Anders Apgar, MD
Board-certified OB-GYN Anders Apgar, MD has been caring for the OB-GYN needs of women in and around the Rockville, Maryland area for seventeen years. At Capital Women’s Care, Dr. Apgar provides premium integrated OB-GYN care for women of all ages at all stages of life. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1996, Dr. Apgar completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hershey Medical Center, PSU. He's an American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists board-certified fellow.
Dr. Apgar offers regular well-woman exams that include routine health screenings and vaccinations. Dr. Apgar diagnoses the cause of pelvic pain, discomfort, and other symptoms and explores minimally invasive surgical options to help women feel their very best and stay active and vibrant for years to come.

Gerald Renzi, MD
Dr. Renzi completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University in 1976. In 1980 he received his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine. Dr. Renzi currently is a member of the following professional societies: Montgomery County Medical Society, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical.
Sara Mirghani, MD
Dr. Sara Mirghani has just returned to Maryland after serving the women of the Philadelphia, PA area and is looking forward to providing quality care to the women in her home state. Dr. Mirghani has a special interest in preventative care, contraceptive counseling, minimally invasive surgery, and high risk obstetrics.
After graduating with Honors from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Arabic, she completed medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine. During her time in medical school, she became interested in global health and had the opportunity to provide healthcare to women in Kenya and Ecuador. She then completed her OBGYN residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA where she served as administrative chief resident and received multiple recognitions including awards for providing compassionate care, excellence in teaching, and excellence in obstetrics.
Dr. Mirghani believes that the most rewarding aspect of practicing medicine is the opportunity to form lasting relationships with her patients and to provide longitudinal healthcare to women throughout their lifetime. She looks forward to creating a safe and compassionate space for her patients. In her free time, Dr. Mirghani enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Rabia Gomez, MD
Dr. Rabia Gomez is a board-certified OB/Gyn and fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008. She then received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012.
Dr. Gomez completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, in 2016, at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, where she served as chief resident and received multiple awards including excellence in ambulatory women's health care and excellence in gynecology. She continued in practice for one year at Albert Einstein Medical Center prior to joining Virtua Medical Group in New Jersey, where she practiced for four and a half years.
Dr. Gomez grew up in Rockville and after thirteen years in Philadelphia and South Jersey, has finally returned home! She has special interests in adolescent gynecology, contraception, management of high-risk pregnancy, and preventative care. Dr. Gomez's practice philosophy centers on patient education and shared decision making. She wishes to collaborate with patients to choose care plans based on the best fit for each individual patient.
In her spare time Dr. Gomez enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new recipes, and doing puzzles.
